Polkaswap x Unique.One LP Rewards Distribution Delay — Unique.One
We’d like to thank the community for its patience with the August 1 — August 15 Polkaswap LP rewards delay. It’s always been our intention to be transparent with the community. So, first an explanation of the delay, then an ETA of August 1- August 15 rewards.
Why were rewards delayed?
All Polkaswap <> Unique.One LP providers know that they had to submit their Sora wallet to us to be able to query the pool balances to distribute Unique.One token rewards. Remember, Sora is built on Substrate, not Ethereum. It’s a different blockchain.
To date, we have been able to query XOR/RARE, XOR/FOTO, and XOR/FANS pools using Polkaswap’s pool logic. As many of you may know, Polkaswap is continually developing its product at a rapid rate. Developer updates are published on the Polkaswap Medium channel religiously.
In a recent Polkaswap update at the end of July, Polkaswap made some changes to its pool logic to speed up the Polkaswap network. This is great innovation.
Unfortunately, these changes also affected the mechanism we had in place to track pool balances. Because they have retired their query asset balance function for LP pools, the Unique Team has had to query each LP balance manually, wallet by wallet. And this has taken quite a bit of time. We want to thank you for your patience.
When rewards?
As the rewards period for August 16 — August 31 is only two days away, we will distribute all rewards for the month of August in a single transaction. Rewards distribution will begin after August 31st. This will be a one-time exception. Rewards will return to bi-monthly distributions for September.
